For YAMAHA keyboards, we introduced in this EXTENDED VERSION of the “Back To The 80s Style Collection” a new and innovative system of « RHSV: Right Hand Sound Variations », lets call it “RHSV” based on YAMAHA’s well known OTS Links and OTS Settings system.
EXTENDED VERSION maximizes your investment as for each single style of the collection,
the style will come in up to 17x Right Hand Sound Variations versions
(17 times the amount of OTSs a style normally has will be available).

 

What does that mean ?
Take 1 style from the collection : « pkBig In Japan » inspired of AlphaVille’s – Big In Japan –  song.
In the EXTENDED VERSION of this style, you will find the style file delivered in up to 17 different « flavors/versions » of the Right Hand Sound Variations settings, making each style more original and different each other.
The musical data remain the same (what is played on your left hand), but the right hand OTSs and OTS Links are different for each style file version and you can gain from this system new inspiration/ideas taken from the RHSV settings and turn the style into something completely different.
In other words, it means that for each style of the collection (there are 21 different styles in this volume 15+6 Bonus Styles), you’ll find up to 17 times the same style file but in each style file version you will find totally different OTS Links and OTS Settings, it is a bit like if YAMAHA offered for each style in your instrument the capability to have 17 distinct OTS Links settings and up to 72 distinct OTS Settings.

A: No, not for the moment. The Style Library contains only styles, no software player software.
Q: How do I transfer the styles on my Yamaha keyboard ?
A: Simply copy the songstyles or styles from the computer to USB stick
then load into your Yamaha keyboard according to your instrument owner manual.
